Charter Version Control

The project charter is a governed document with full version history.

Editing the Charter

1. Navigate to the project Charter tab
2. Edit charter content in the rich-text editor
3. Save creates a new draft version (autosave runs every 2 seconds)

Submitting for Review

1. Click Submit for Review when the draft is ready
2. Status changes to Submitted
3. Designated approvers receive notification

Approval

• Approvers can Approve or Request Changes with comments
• On approval, the charter can be locked (no further edits)
• Locking triggers automatic baseline pack generation

Version History

• All versions are preserved and viewable
• Compare any two versions to see what changed
• Restore a prior version if needed (creates a new version, preserving the current one)
