Linking Requirements to Tests v3.0
Traceability links connect requirements to test cases to execution results, creating an auditable chain from "what was specified" to "what was tested" to "what passed."
Creating Links
When creating or editing a test case, use the Requirement Links section to associate the case with one or more requirements. Requirements can come from:
- URS Parser output (requirement IDs like REQ-001, REQ-002)
- BRD/FRS/SRS document sections
- Manually entered requirement references
Bidirectional Links
Links are bidirectional:
- From a test case, you can see which requirements it covers
- From a requirement, you can see which test cases test it
- From an execution result, you can see the linked requirement and test case
